Last two weeks – ongoing work at Eastside Park, Newhaven assisting Newhaven Town Council create fourteen new community allotments.

Above – Work is progressing well with the initial stage of clearance now nearing completion. Our team ecologist (hidden in the undergrowth!) undertaking the Ecological Clerk of Works role has been busy dealing with several protected species under licence and RAMs.

Above – More material is waiting for collection. …until now. Historically buried in the ground, left or from the more recent arson attack and hidden from view

Above – Before work started alongside the public right of way (above left) … A narrow entrance testing the skills of the driver backing in to collect (above right).

Above – Temporary bridge in place (above left) and so far…(above right)

Next two weeks – after ripping to alleviate drainage the next site visit will be to inspect the laying of the plots, building the new path edgings and concrete pouring the bases for the new allotment sheds, followed by the spreading of topsoil.
